What is Roundabout NorthChatt?

Roundabout NorthChatt is an online community for local life. Founded by a group of neighbors, Roundabout NorthChatt helps folks find useful info (recommendations, events, updates), connect with neighbors, and celebrate local life in NorthChatt. Our work is supported by New_Public, a nonprofit focused on reimagining community, connection, and conversation online.

Why Join? How is this different from other social media?

That's the best part! Roundabout NorthChatt is not a social media platform, it is a community space. Where other platforms are designed for viral moments and noise, we are focused on improving local information discovery and healthy connections with neighbors.

Find What You Need. Find what you need for local life like weekend plans, recommendations, or important community updates, without scrolling through a bunch of noise and shouting matches. We organize content into topic-based channels with a separate Calendar to find events and a Guides section to find more evergreen resources.

Connect With Neighbors. Build real relationships with people who actually live here through genuine conversations and mutual support, not performative posts competing for likes. Our community also has a local steward moderating the space, welcoming folks in, organizing information, and setting the cultural tone.

Be Proud of Our Community. Celebrate what makes our community special—the good moments, local wins, and people doing great things—without the pressure to perform or go viral. When can I get access?
